Ronald J. Artigues, Jr.

Ronnie Artigues, an Attorney licensed in Mississippi, brings more than thirty years of experience working directly with municipalities, counties, educational institutions, school districts (private and public), state and local governments, governmental officials, and various political agencies and committees. Ronnie has spent the last three decades providing counsel for the creation of new governmental entities, assisting in legislative affairs, and governmental relations, managing Federal and State contracting for local governmental entities, and managing contracting and compliance for Dept. of Education, Dept. of Treasury, FEMA, SBA and HUD Community Development Block Grant programs. Ronnie has provided counsel and services overseeing compliance and regulatory matters for regular municipal operations and emergency management response and recovery, construction, resiliency planning and process management. During Hurricane Katrina’s landfall in 2005, Ronnie served as the primary legal advisor to the local educational institutions, county governments, utility authorities, solid waste authorities, and private schools that found themselves in the storm’s direct path. Ronnie has extensive experience in U.S. Treasury program administration, HUD’s CDBG-DR program administration, and legal and regulatory compliance. Ronnie also served as the grant recipient’s agent and advisor for more than $250 million of federal projects for county government, municipalities, utility authorities and other grant recipients. Ronnie has an intricate understanding of U.S. Treasury, HUD and other federal and state regulations and their relationship to the funding process. He was instrumental in overseeing all phases of the immediate disaster response, repair, rebuilding, recovery, and funding strategies for the western region of Coastal Mississippi. Ronnie has represented members of Congress, state legislators, mayors, council members, judges and has served as an advisor to State and local governments as well as private industry for over thirty years.

 

Ronnie graduated with honors with a degree in Finance from the Loyola University School of Business in 1988. In 1991 he graduated with honors from Tulane University School of Law. He maintains his law practice while also serving in a regulatory compliance and administrative role with state and local public entities and private non-profit corporations.
